Description:
The 2018 Center for Advanced Automotive Technology (CAAT) Conference began with the status of automated vehicle technology.

It included presentations about current vehicle usage by individuals and service vehicles. Projections were made on how shared vehicle services could impact the population density of communities.

There was a panel discussion with representatives answering questions on the acceptance of electrified vehicles, the effectiveness of testing autonomous vehicles manually and with digital simulators and the educational requirements and skills required for current and future jobs in Southeast Michigan.
